Resumen

The goal of this thesis was to show designs experiments common application in industry. In each different conditions they were simulated to analyze the hardness of steel. Case 1 was a completely randomized design with four levels of factor and carbon percentage in the mix, it was concluded that the carbon factor influences the hardness of the metal. In case 2, two factors are analyzed: coal on three levels and temperature at two levels, three scenarios were simulated: In the first the coal was significant, in the second they were both factors and the third the interaction was significant for 2 two factors are analyzed. Case 3 was a randomized complete block design with two fixed factors (inspector and provider) each with four levels both factors were significant. Case 4 corresponded to a 4x4 Latin square with factors inspector and coal supplier and factor in four to level, both factors were significant. Case 5 was a full factorial design 2K three factors: temperature, heat treatment and carbon content; the effect of double interactions time and temperature * * coal temperature was significant.
