Resumen

The social sciences and humanities (CSH) face the problem of demonstrating the practical application of their foundations in their own sectors or in other social contexts, contrary to what happens with other disciplines, where it is easier to verify a different condition, as happens with other sciences. Faced with this concern, the present research proposes as an objective: to define the characteristics of a knowledge transfer model (TC) to promote this activity in higher academic units of the CSH in relation to social entities. For this, a mixed type investigation was carried out, first in the qualitative part, with the participation of 17 experts in the management area and the identification of TC processes from 13 different institutions, in addition to focus groups with the participation of experts, teachers and representatives of social entities; second, in the quantitative aspect, a questionnaire was applied to 222 teachers assigned to the different academic units belonging to the CSH of the Autonomous University of Chihuahua (UACH), as well as to representatives of 24 social entities. In the data analysis, it was possible to derive a series of conditions and characteristics on the forms of execution of the TC processes and later, integrate a proposed TC model for the CSH, as well as describe the aspects that surround the TC process in terms of to its implications, limitations and strengths that make it possible for it to happen.
