Resumen

In order to regional companies can participate in the productive chains of the auto parts industry in Cd. Juarez, Chih. Mexico, it is necessary to identify and describe the dynamism, the very specific cultural characteristics and the way of doing business in the region, so the approach of the problem lies in the possibility of knowing factors that favor the development of business in the aforementioned strategic sector. The main objective of this research was to identify the business factors that favor the development of companies in said industry. To achieve this, the methodological process was carried out in two stages: in the first stage semi-structured in-depth interviews were carried out with the stakeholders in the industry, thus determining a diagnosis of the current situation. In the second stage, documentary information was sought regarding the branches of the automotive cluster, evaluating these with respect to their level of commercial activity. Among the findings, it can be highlighted that there are three factors that determine the possibility of doing business as those of the industry (global), regional and integration in the industrial process. A fourth factor identified the regional branches of business with greater opportunities of trade such as metalworking and plastics, which are of higher level of commercial impact and greater opportunities for integration in the non-critical activities of the production chain.
