Resumen

In 2019 35 climatological stations in the state of Chihuahua with daily rainfall registries where analyzed. The main objective was to identify disturbances in the data time series of rainfall that may point to a possible climate change in the state of Chihuahua and in the given case determinate in which year that change happened. A graphical analysis was made by using arithmetic average, average evolution 5 years forward and tendency. The data was evaluated with four normality tests, Pearson, D’Agostino, Ryan-Joiner and Kolmogorov-Smirnov. Then four homogeneity tests where applied: T de Student and Cramer for series with normal distribution and Helmert and Sequences for a non-normal distribution. This allowed to determine statistically two different series differing to the complete rainfall series. Results of 17 climatological stations didn’t show any apparent evidence of climate change while 16 did show apparent evidence, 13 of these showed two different series of rainfall with a minor average, which means it’s raining less while in 3 stations was the opposite, more rainfall in average. 75% of the climatological stations with apparent climate change occurred between 1990 and 1994, there weren’t any findings about an associated geographic pattern.
