Resumen
The World Organization of the United Nations has described Climate Change as “The Definitory Question of our Era”, this is defined as: “a change of climate attributed directly or indirectly to human activity that alters the composition of the atmosphere’s global level and adds to the climate variability observed during comparable periods of time”. Climate change brings considerable economic consequences and impacts on water resources, ecosystems, agriculture, urban areas, migration and human health. The source of these climatic problems is the lack of awareness towards our environment resulting from an extractive mechanistic view of nature. Therefore, the United Nations has developed a strategy to adopt adaptation measures and help mitigate its causes, with education being the basis of this strategy. The objective of this project was to develop the Program of Non-Formal Education for Climate Change in the Municipality of Chihuahua, the methodology applied is the guide to develop programs of non-formal environmental education published in 2009 by the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources (SEMARNAT), this program, wants to persuade on the behavior and attitude of the population of Chihuahua’s municipality that contributes to the raising of human well-being, while maintaining the processes that sustain life on the planet.
