Resumen

The objective of this work was determining the fractionation and distribution of uranium and other chemical species, by their characterization in the colloidal and dissolved phases of surface water of the El Granero and San Marcos reservoirs. Once in the laboratory, the dissolved chemical species (anions and cations) were determined in the 1 L samples, while the 50 L samples were subjected to a filtration process to obtain suspended particulate matter. The ultrafiltration technique was used for the separation of the colloidal and dissolved fractions from the water under study. In both fractions spectrometric techniques were used for the characterization: plasma optical spectrometry for the determination of major elements and alpha spectrometry for the determination of isotopic uranium. As a result, it was determined that no significant differences were observed in the El Granero reservoir (P> 0.05) for any of the physicochemical parameters per zone (superficial and deep). On the contrary, in the San Marcos dam the concentrations of alkalinity, Cl-, SO4-, Ca+, Na+ and K+ were different (P> 0.05) in both zones. Also, in the San Marcos reservoir the colloids showed concentrations of Ca, Mg, and Fe. Whereas, in El Granero the colloids showed concentrations of Ca and Mg. San Marcos, the contents of isotopic Uranium oscillated between 7.5 - 37 mBq/L for the 238U, and 13 - 49 mBq/L for the 234U. The contents of isotopic uranium in the Granero reservoir ranged from 64 - 74 mBq/L for 238U and 158 - 167 mBq/L for 234U. The organic compounds found in most samples are long carbon chains (N-tridecyl), amines (1,7-dihydro-2-amino), amides (butanamide), carboxylic acids (octadecanoic acid), esters (2 propenoic acid, N-tridecyl ester, etc.) With the above described, it was possible to obtain the distribution, fractionation and speciation of isotopic uranium, as well as other chemical species present in suspended particulate matter
