Resumen

This research presents a set of standards composed of different dimensions and criteria to evaluate Information Literacy (IL) in the communication of science. To develop the research process, the study is integrated by different complementary and subsequent phases: (i) documentary research on normative elements that support the initial identification of evaluation criteria; (ii) validation of information by experts in the exact sciences (sample of 30 subjects); (iii) validation of information by experts in IL (sample of 62 subjects); And (iv) to obtain as a result a standard, which was tested with teachers with investigative potential of the state of Chihuahua (sample of 28 subjects). The set of standards has 8 dimensions and 34 criteria, through which it is possible to diagnose individual and collective levels of scientific culture, offering possibilities for improvement through planned change processes
